Christian Rogers, Ph.D. is the Assistant Dean for the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in Indianapolis, an Associate Professor in Computer Graphics Technology and oversees the Themed Entertainment Design programming . He is formerly the Director for the Center for Student Innovation in the Institute for Engaged Learning at IUPUI. His formal background is in the field of video production and motion design having worked for multiple clients in marketing and promotional work. Previous to Purdue University and IUPUI, Chris was a Lecturer in Visual Communication Technology at Bowling Green State University.
He has multiple accolades to his name, including the development of the Jag Challenge, an innovation sprint for IUPUI students entering into the university, and development of multiple educational technologies including EASEL, a just-in-time learning and experiential tool and AR in makerspaces. His research is in multidisciplinary team building and design thinking as well as user experience design and augmented reality. He teach courses in Themed Entertainment and Motion Graphics Design.
Dr. Rogers received his Bachelors degree in Visual Communication Technology and a Masters of Science in Career and Technology Education from Bowling Green State University. He also received his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo in Educational Technology.
